KaHuna / HAWAIIAN / lomi lomi

Hawaiian Kahuna massage is a unique, flowing, energetically vibrant yet deeply relaxing whole-body massage. Hands and forearms are used in long fluid strokes of varying intensity and rhythm over the whole body. Hot Stone

Smooth, flat, heated stones are placed on specific parts of your body to help you to relax and ease tense muscles and damaged soft tissue.

The stones are usually made of basalt, which is a type of volcanic stone that retains heat. Benefits of a Hot Stone Massage can include:

Deep Tissue

Slower strokes or friction techniques across the "grain" of the muscle allows us to target the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue.

Is used for chronically tight or painful muscles, repetitive strain, postural problems and recovery from injury.

Correct positioning that fully supports your body during pregnancy massage is key to relieve the pressure of the baby on your body. 

Massage during pregnancy is an essential tool for expecting mums to reduce stress, anxiety and depression, plus relieve aches and pains and decrease swelling. 

 
 
 

Sports

A Sports Massage isn't only for athletes, but also for those who exercise vigorously or want that helping hand to keep in tip top shape. It is used to prevent injuries, to prepare the body for athletic activity and maintain the body in optimal condition. Sports massage is particularly useful for helping you to recover more quickly from workouts or injuries.

Deep and fast effleurage and pettrisage strokes are used for sports massages.
