Hawaiian Kahuna Massage / Bodywork is a flowing style of therapy, that uses long strokes performed with the therapist’s forearms. Although parts of Kahuna Bodywork are similar to Remedial Massage techniques; deep tissue, mobilising and stretching, Kahuna Massage strokes flow over the body with the path of least resistance, allowing clients the ‘space’ for healing and mental. Rather that targeting one area of the body that has pain or stiffness, Kahuna Massage treats the whole body as a system, not seeking any dysfunction. Music is a big part of the treatment, as it allows the client to immerse themselves in the experience and distracts the mind.

In the treatment long sweeping rhythmical strokes are utilised to the clients body.  Each stroke is given with ‘chi’ energy, which allows your body to realign itself and balance on a cellular level in a more organised pattern. This is one of the biggest differences of Kahuna Massage and other styles of therapeutic massage. So not only is your body on a physical level receiving the benefits of releasing muscular aches and pains, but on an emotional, mental and spiritual level you will be realigning and recharging. Kahuna Bodywork quietens the busy mind, to enter your body at a deep level to allow your own wisdom to heal your body, mind and soul.

Pressure can vary through out the treatment, mainly you will be pain free and relaxed during the session. At times deeper work is applied, deep tissue, trigger point pressure, stretching and mobilising to release joints, ligaments, tendons and muscles.
